I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Monster Music in Clonsilla but I've rehearsed there a few times and it was an absolutely fantastic studio. That was until they closed down on Wednesday. Absolute shame. The best rehearsal studio in Dublin imo, great gear that worked, clean. Just fantastic. Shame that it didn't survive.

Compared to places like Soundlease and Loop? And I'm talking about the rehearsal rooms, not the shop or cafe.

lets be honest , sound was terrible in the rooms only good things about them was there size, and backline were poor, this is a thread about monster music , not about loop etc we all know there kips!! All i can see if your a new band you would see monster as great, but if your professionally minded this place wasnt good, it was cheap excuse for rehearsal rooms really and for what you got the €75 charge per session was steep!! We brought our own equipment if we had to practice there and having to lug it up them stairs and still pay full price!!! I could see what the owners were trying to do but i knew it wasnt going to work out.

TBH, I always considered the rooms to be the best of the ones I've played in Dublin. The €75 charge is the exact same per hour as other rehearsal studios in town. If you're happy to rehearse in Loop and Soundlease, good for you. Personally, I liked playing in a clean studio.

also the music shop was horrendously stocked with the worst guitars and amps!! if your a manager of a music shop surely you'd want to get the best in equipment on display in your shop to aim at all levels from a pro to a beginer so that a band or musician can feel its getting a good choice, not just F*@kin "Cort" guitars or "Fender Squire" and beginer marshall amps!!! I know its comes down to cost but it wasnt in my opinion done right, the Music shop location was wrong you wouldnt get people walking in off the street its in an industrial estate!!! Also through a cafe up a stairs!!!
