UPC New Customer - Essential Pack Deal

Hi, I have decided to get the "Essential Pack" deal from UPC (http://www.upc.ie/deals/newcustomer/). I am a new customer, and just wanted to know a few things.

Essentially the deal is Go Digital Value Tv, Broadband Express and phone with Free Time. (thats what I gather anyway)
The deal states you get DVR, but if you complete the online form, it shows that DVR will cost an extra 5 Euro a month? Bit confused on that...so comments please.

Also, with regards to the phone, does UPC supply a telephone unit when they install the phone service? I have not seen any mention of it. Am I required to supply the phone myself? If not, does anyone know what model they will supply?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Thanks for that incredibly prompt reply!
Pitty about the DVR, I don't really need it, but would have been great if they threw it in with the deal. The deals description certainly does sound like it is included.

Good news on them supplying a phone unit. Any ideas on the model?

    Thanks again Dunworth1

You say you don't really need the DVR. Well if you have a VCR/DVD recorder then for the extra fiver the DVR is the way to go and you will not use your VCR or DVD for recording again. Once you have used a DVR then you'll find you can't manage without it. Hard disc recording, and ability to rewind and pause live tv is a great feature.

Think it doesn't explain itself very well. The Essential pack including DVR is €64. Simplest way to prove this is just tot up all the individual prices:
    Digital Value €20
    Broadband Express €30
    Phone Service €4
    Freetime €5
    DVR €5
    Total €64
Suspect the bit in the online form is just a standard bit they hadn't taken out. What I can say for definite is that the €64 includes the DVR.

Ahh...well now. The adding up of service costs certainly does make sense(doh). I'll be ringing the sales team later this morning just to clarify.
