    Well its now announced that an 80gb ps3 will be released on the 27th of august same functions as the 40gb but bigger capacity, for the same price :)
    So anyone thinking of buying a 40gb hold out for a month and get the 80gb :D
    The 40gb will be phased out.

    Platinum will be released on the 1st of august for any titles breaking the 400,000 in the pal regions. The price is said to be £20 sterling so about €35 i would say. Finally a chance to get titles that you didnt want to fork the full price (55 - 70euro) out for at a reasonable price.

    Oh and Gamestop sell dualshock 3 for €60 and will give you 25 euro off if you trade in your sixaxis.

    Just thought i would post this to let peeps know.

    A 80gb ps3 with a DS3 is nice but if the hard drive is replacable and you can import a DS3 relatively cheaply.

    If they start throwing in HDMI cables, an extra sixaxis games etc then I may well get a 40gb in (assuming the price holds)

    I know some people would be tempted to do this but i think you can get one from VG+(videogamesplus.ca)(You can even get white ones) for a few euro more than the 35 euro you'd pay in GS tradin your sixaxis.Then youd have 2 controllers:).They have snappy delivery too so you should have it from canada wiithin a week

    was in japan and picked up a white and silver ds3 had 2 sixaxis already so won't replace them untill i need to

    on the hdd note saw a few hdd for sale in ps3 section of a shop specificly packaged for ps3(still a 2.5" but with a "for ps3" box) it's easy to get a new one and put it in,
    but if they were sold in game stores here like that it be cool
