Training between events question?

    Hey,

Did my first sprint tri last weekend and up to that point have been following Hal Higdons Tri fast plan. I was training for longer than the plan gave me at the end so I simply went back a couple of weeks and added time on to the training lengths and it all seemed to work out.

The problem now is that I've finished my tri but want to do another one in late Aug or anytime September and I'm not really sure what to do training wise. Do I just go back into mid way of the trifast plan and whack even more time on the sessions or how exactly do you maintain and increase your performance once your plan is used once?

    Cheers for advice.

    CL.

    You don't maintain.

You take time off, go back to basics, do some longer easier stuff and then build back up to a second peak.

    Read about periodisation of training.
