You can't get flash working in Opera Mini.

You can however try m.youtube.com which will stream videos and play them through your phone's default video player. Bear in mind that this is not recommended at all unless you have a decent data package. Otherwise it'll cost a fortune.

Mobitubia will play Youtube videos. But that is useless to drunkenmonkey.. I assume (based purely on his previous posts around here) that he just wants it to show porn to his friends :)

I've no bother watching you tube, there's a direct link to it in planet 3...

it's other less well known video sites I want to view...

Any way to do it....even without opera...is there any video sites besides flash ones that you can access..

    tks

Well what sites are you trying to view? They might have a mobile version. Or possibly extract the video or something.... It all depends on the site. We cant do much with out knowing these sites.

Yeah, you might be able to use one of those flash video downloader tools and save as 3gp, can't see why you'd be all that bothered though. Just use a PC.

use google mobile search on your phone's browser or opera mini... Search for "3gp clips" or sth similar...there are countless wapsites that let you download clips you can save and then play on your phone's media player... But really, it's a lot faster, cheaper to transfer stuff from your pc ;)

as to apps: it's really help if you let us know what phone model you're using!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is not what you need - unless you're running windows mobile on your e65 and viewty ;)
but certainly, somewhere down the line a mobile browser here will deliver the full web... Not yet, though :(

    What's the story with skyfire?
Is it to completely replace PocketIE?
There was a lot of hype about it a while back.
    Haven't heard anything lately though.

wish I knew more - it's still limited to US customers (to register you need a US ph nr, they text you a download link ;) )
i have failed to find an "alternative" way to download it.... Looks good indeed! But so does opera mobile 9.5 beta which came out today ;)

    Here's another one...

    http://blueapple.mobi

You can download or stream, but you will need to be in a 3G area to get anything to happen fast. Jar file here: http://www.getjar.com/products/15598/BlueappleMobileVideoSearch

Or wi-fi for those blessed with wireless internet (you wouldnt imagine the amount of unsecured wireless networks in town, inside coffee shops etc)
Trying out the blueapple thing now on my n95 8gb

Just downloaded a 3½ minute video in about 30 seconds. Works well for me.
