Can anyone please tell me if there is any darts tournaments coming up in the Wicklow or Dublin area soon that anyone can enter. I've been playing for a good while now on a board I have at home with family and friends and also i practice for about 2-3 hours a day on my own. Time for a new challenge I think.

Might be an idea to set up another Boards Tournie?

If starting off for the 1st season it would be advisable to start playing Tuesday nights in Dun Laoghaire Borough dart league..........the standard is okay......if you can finish a game in 30 darts you will win more than you lose.

Only team in bray that play tuesday nights is Clancys, monday nights are Kellys - very good, Bray Head Fishing Club - Good also.......so your chances of getting a game for the monday nights for your 1st year would be slim unless your very good.

Here check out www.darts.ie and you will see last years tables........call into any of the pubs and someone will give ya info when they start back.

Thanks for the advice mbc and a boards tournie would be great.
I'd say 90% of the time I would finish using less than 30 darts. My scoring is impressive at present but then again in a 501 game I sometimes get a score of say 11 or so, just have to get that out of my game and that can only happen with more practice.

Clancys is not really my cup of tea, I also think that to play for B.H.F.C you have to be a member and sadly for me I gave up my membership last year. That leaves kellys, might pop down there today and see what the story is. I might try Goldsmiths, they have a board but no team but I've heard rumours they might set up a team.

    Time for more practice!!!

theres a 3 man comp coming up in the igo inn in ballybrack, its basic enough a game of 1001 double start, which your 3 players play then a game of doubles 751 then three singles 751, its sixty euro per team to enter with a grand for winners 600 runner up and something for beaten semi finalists max 32 teams, starts mon 11th aug winner goes through each night to final which will be played sun 31st aug, priority given to those who played in the last comp then first come first served. i'm doin this for a friend so any quieries or to enter a team call to igo and see one of the lads off monday team or ring igo, monday night players there most nights. igo 012824872,

Well I was thinking of joining B.H.F.C as you don't have to be a member but if there is any team close to home needing a player well then maybe I would consider joining. Any suggestions ramblers?

Well Ballybrack is not too far away so I would be interested, maybe I would be better off starting on a Tuesday night team seeing as it would be my first season. If there is any tournaments coming up in your pub please let me know!

    Cheers ramblers!
