    Hi All,

Looking for advice in staying in the Los Angeles area. Does anyone have any advice on a nice area to stay in maybe near to the coast and possibly some decent hotels?

    Thanking you

Do a search for Los Angeles - there's been a few similar threads on this before.

TBH, I'd avoid LA. I find it a bit of a dump

Just back from LA, only spent a night there on our way home from a fly drive of states. Stayed out in Santa Monica beside the beach, found it nice, pier was lovely to walk about, beach was packed, nice restaurants around. We stayed in the Holiday Inn, but plenty of places along the beach area, best westerns, comfort Inns etc. Stayed in a lot of them over the past few weeks and could not fault any of them.
