Im thinking of getting one I must admit. I want to know what people's opinions on them are. After watching Tom Morello at a festival recently im tempted to try one out. Are they unnecessary or awesome?

I'd also love to give one a go, don't think I could justify the cost....but that's never stopped me before. I feel like I need more pedals......

I have one on my GT-8 and I love messing with it. Gonna have a go recording a lot of Tom Morello's stuff to see what it sounds like. I use the whammy live just to detune and it's handy to use.

It costs aroung 180 on thomann. Those reviews seem to be mixed. The original whammys seem to be better but they go for a fortune on ebay.

Just make sure you get one that works ok. I have to ring Soundtech in the UK tomorrow to organise a repair for mine. :(

Love assing around with the one in my GT-6. Lots of Tom Morello tomfoolery plus handy for divebombing hardtails! :D

Make sure you put it first in the effects chain ;) GT-8 is awesome, I wanna have a go of the GT-10 though, looks more refined.

Had a whammy, although i thought it was fun to use an all its usage didnt justify keeping it around. Esp. for the price!!!

I bought one for my son 4 months ago it's a reissue no space for a 9 v battery? great fun a bit obsolete in a gigging situation as interferes with your tone to much for my liking.
