New phone - text problem

I bought a new phone of the internet. It was a chinese (i think) website selling their chinese/asian phones, with phones you can get with english.

Anyway i got a 5mp camera, tv, mp3 player, radio, sim free, touchscreen and other functions you would normally find on a phone for 115 euro. It was an impulse buy but i thought i couldn't go wrong with 115 euro. Here, a phone similar would cost well over 500 euro. I wasn't expecting much from the phone but now that i have the phone - it is brillant.

Everything is working fine. I haven't tried the wap/mms settings yet but i will once i figure out the settings.

Anyway, i have 1 problem with sending msgs. They're not sending. I have the msg centre number and everything in the phone but msgs aren't sending. I am receiving msgs fine though. My brother got the same phone and its working fine. I have tried using a different sim card and it works fine.

So im guessing its something to do with the phone company - vodafone.
Can they stop you from sending msgs if you use a different phone?

no they wont stop you, msg centre number has to be +35387699989-or get ur sim updated
have you a link with the phone you bought? i need a new one but dont like stuff out now?

http://www.padphone-world.com posted with fedex took a week. I got the Ktech 720 and its a good phone.

If you go into your local vodafone agents you'll get a free sim update, this is often just what people need to do;)

The phone is good. I would give it 9 out of 10. I don't have the option of cancelling the caller id. Battery life is alright. It comes with 2 batteries anyway which is fairly useful. The NES games on the disk doesn't work but you can download them from the internet anyway and there are some good games. Oh and it takes brillant pictures. I love the phone - alot better than the nokia crap.

At that price what would you think?
You can Google Hiphone, and read all the bad reports about it. But for the features some of the phones on that site have, and at those prices they are very tempting.
