Bit of a lurker here but an supposedly i had an encounter with a ghost on Saturday night!

I was in Dublin for the weekend and staying in jury's inn, sharing a room with 2 others! On the Saturday nite, one of the lads seen a ghost of what seemed to be an old women in a night dress floating above me as I slept, needless to say she got a little freaked and just closed her eyes and it was gone when she opened them.

Not much else I can say except wish I actually seen it, but has me very interested. I've had a few experience my self but never actually seen a full figure. Going to try sleeping with one eye open now :P

I know of at least one Jury's Inn in Dublin that had a rather grizzly murder in one of its rooms.

I guess he was being deadly serious when he told you that. It'd be a cruel joke to tell someone that a ghost was hovering over them as they slept- that's a surefire way to frighten the bejaysus out of someone.

Who knows where the old lady's ghost came from? That hotel may have been built on a site that once inhabited old tenements or something. The only way to find out about its history would be to ask the manager of that particular Jury's- it'd be interesting to find out about it.

Well, I'm sure that, in general, ghosts/spirits aren't in the habit of hovering over you while you sleep. I imagine that's rare, so I wouldn't worry or anything! :p At least you (I assume) got a good night's sleep in Jury's anyway! That's the main thing! :D

Can I ask you about your other, previous 'ghostly' (for lack of a better word, sorry!) experiences? Nearly everyone has a story in that respect..
