Your Salary Change - Past 2 years

I recently received a salary increase in the company I've been working in for the last two years. It got me thinking about how much my salary has increased from the initial pay. I was pleasantly surprised at the result.

Poll attached to guage individuals' percentage salary increase/decrease. Please just use the (nearest) percentage difference (increase or decrease) from your salary two years ago. The reason I'm using 2 years as the marker is two fold
    1. As stated, it's my own term of employment with current company
    2. Two years ago was pretty much the height of the economic boom -to the now, supposed recession. So I think it's a reasonable reference point
If your salary was nil two years ago (student etc.) but your are now in employment, just use the difference between your start pay and current pay.

Note: Use your gross annual salary. If you're paid by the hour, use the difference in your hourly rate. Do not include bonuses

Bit of a silly poll as the ranges are too big....like there's a big difference between a 10% increase and a 50% increase

Agreed, no thought whatsoever put into the poll. Most likely the OP is someone who is only starting out in the working world with a few years working and has obviously seen a few large increments.

I went from a crappy grad salary of 24k to double that in 18 months.

Yeah, when I started out I got 16k. It's been three years, not two, but I'm now recieving 26k. I'm due a raise next June.

what if you moved jobs withing that two year period coz i got a 20% pay rise for that

I changed jobs within the last 2 years. Taking that into account, I'd have a 30% increase in salary compared to where I was 2 years ago and where I am now.

Sorry. Meant to put in a 25% Increase Option. All polls are pretty silly on boards. It's a bit of fun.

Don't read or vote so. It's a bit of fun and there's nothing wrong with a bit of ego massaging :D

Been working for quite some time and have done very well. As stated I'm two years with my current company - I haven't said how much my increase was.

Now people - On with the discussion in hand. Any other grievances, take it somewhere else.
