Disable Add-ins for Word 2000?

    Having problems when closing Microsoft Word 2000. When I open Word from the run command "winword.exe /a" it works fine.

    How can I disable the add-ins from within word?

    Can you not just go Tools -> Addins and disable unwanted ones?

    Been a while since I used 2000....

    When i click on add-ins it does not give me a list of any to disable

    Close Word
    Search for a file called "normal.dot" in your profile (probably hidden)

    Rename it say "normal.old" and relaunch Word. See if that has any improvement.

    I have renamed the normal.dot and it does not fix error
