upgrading my dell

    hi bit of a noob here so any help would be great i have a dell gx260 (i know a bit old)but its all i can afford at the mo saving 4 a house i was thinking of putting 2gigs of ram into it to speed it up but not sure wat sort i know its ddr pc2100 but have i any better solutions wen it come,s to ram and is ther any other things i could do to it that are,nt too hard or dear thanks

    As for the bios and any other driver you should go to the dell website and put in your service tag on the drivers and software in the support section. I recommend you update all drivers on the computer

    thanks a lot ill buy the ram and try dell ill let u know how i get on and thanks again iv also got a 2.8mhz cyu to put in it now so it should be that bit better hopefully do u think ill need to change the heatsink im running a 1.8mhz at mo

    You wont be able to change the heatsink as the motherboard is a dell motherboard and has clips in the way so you are better of sticking with the fan and heatsink that are in it already. I tried changing one on a dell desktop before and it would not fit in with all the crap they put in the machines.

    well got the ram today works great and i got a bigger cpu also works great its flying along i was thinking of going to vista 4 a while but am being told i need to upgrade my video card so i can get aero to work can anyone tell me one that will work with my dell gx250 desktop not tower so i can try find one on adverts cheap thanks
