    Hi
Food is not my forté, this set was done more to have a testimony of the day than seeking any photographic perfection
Please let me know if any could be improved in any way or if any good can be seen in them, thanks

    acr and not much more
usually fill light is to the right and the rest to match the exposure
nothing else, no curves, no levels, crop sometimes
very little gentle sharpening in a couple, they were all taken with a sigma 30mm f/1.4 stopped down to f/2.0 (on a D300) and came very good and sharp indeed, no flash

The dof in the shots looks cool. Did you add the blur afterwards or was that how it was taken? And the food looks tasty. Nice lookin ribs but not sure from what animal!!

I love pics 2-4, but not sure about 1 - maybe I just don't like meat enough. I'm not in any way an expert, but could you try darkening the first shot a little to take some of the shine off it? This may sound stupid, but I think the other shots have a bit of life to them and show that this is definitely food for eating. The first shot is maybe just a bit too abstract for me (I never was artistic).

no bit manipulation after ACR other than crop
no DOF added, no dodge/burn, nothing
DOF comes from the sigma 30 f/1.4 at f/2

number 2 was actually the one with less processing of them all, in fact, it's very similar to its JPG straight from the camera
I was talking to friends nearby when a gust of wind blew all the smoke and this guy went to turn some of the beef so I rush to take pics, I end up with that one and with my knees a bit too hot for comfort

    the ribs were beef ribs
150 kilos of beef altogether and that wasn't remotelly enough

this is one from last year's chorizos (this year's some were a bit too burnt for my liking)
