Billboards are only printed at 72dpi and are much, much less quality than say an A2 300dpi poster and have a much smaller file size.

How it was bought in Ireland though, don't want any of the "grey imports" tsk tsk!

50MP would allow for much more cropping than a 10MP shot, though. backed up by a good enough lens, obviously.

that screen show above is only the same res as you TV, its very low res: 720 *576 pixels in PAL land

BUT

the main reason for those huge res camera has more to do with thing like those bus stop images, cos you stood really close and there quite hi res prints

also as said above it allows for cropping and knockouts

as most commercial images as composites of multiple images

A digital back goes onto a Medium Format camera.
The camera essentially houses the traditional elements, while the back houses the digital sensor.
