    Any opinion?
yeah, say why you didn't like Hot Fuzz.

I thought it was very good when I first watched it, and also when I watched it the second time. I'm not a big fan of Simon Pegg, I say that because I haven't seen much of his work, only Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead. Still I liked the way they did Hot Fuzz, I found it to be one of those great mindless comedies.

Both futurama movies are a bit amiss.
But anything with ... movie as the title.
    Epic movie
    Date movie,
    Scary movie
etc. All utter and total trash.

I agree it was mindless but not funny in the slighest..must be just a matter of taste. TBH I am having difficulty expressing into words how little I thought of it..I would have walked out half way through only I didnt want to insult the flatmate who rented it out.

I just did not find it one bit funny.

WTF - Hot Fuzz was good, though not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead.

The worst film I've seen is Ultraviolet with Mila Jovovich. Tries to be a matrix (the original) type of film but it is without doubt the greatest pile of sh!te ever to go to DVD. I picked it up cheap in Harvey Normans (€4) but that was €4 too much to pay for it.

I love Hot Fuzz. I think it's much better than Shaun of the Dead, and I really do like Shaun of the Dead.
Could we have your opinion first on why you didn't like it?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 35,945 Mod ✭✭✭✭dr.bollocko

I thought Hot Fuzz was well lame. Disappointed considering Shaun and Spaced. Just didnt have that magic.
    It also wasnt really funny.
Maybe I will give it another go though. Perhaps its better on the rewatch.

    Hot Fuzz? class film!

Worst film i ever saw... Meet The Spartans is appalling as is The Love Guru, I managed to watch about half an hour of both before reaching for the remote. Seed & Alone In The Dark are pretty sh1te (Uwe Boll!) Transmorphers is well pooh, the list goes on!

It won't be a popular choice but I hated Juno! crap film, also had to turn off after 30 mins!

I just did not find it funny..in fact I cannot think of anything good to say about it expect that it ended...what am I missing??...perhaps it was too low browI dont know..then again I dont normally watch movies as I find them a waste of time generally so maybe it was just wasted on me...

Tremors 4, didn't have the same panache as the previous 3. Well i suppose they were all a step down from the awesome Kevin Bacon'd Tremors.

They're under the god damned ground...

Sure seems that way! why post in the movie forums if you don't like movies?

I hated Juno. Pretentious load of sh1t. Tried to be very intelligent and just came off as rubbish.

Evolution was a failure. Did not get the humour at ALL.

Transformers was a disaster. Patriotic, predictable trash.

That's all I can think of for now! :)

If I can save you time and a whopper of a headache, do not watch Southland Tales. Biggest load of BS I've seen in a long time. Didn't even make it to the end! Terrible terrible movie.

Absolute worst films ever seen by me:

    Blood waters of doctor Z.
horrific film for all the wrong reasons.

    Hobgoblins.
Incemptency reaches new heights in this sh!tfest.

    Space mutiny
    hilariously bad.

    Manos: The hands of fate.
Has to be seen to be believed its that bad

yes finally someone that has the same opinion :)

as for a movie I was very disappointed with in recent years would have to be The Departed and this is coming for a major Scorsese fan. I cant put my finger on why I just don't like it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,199 ✭✭✭Shryke

It sounds like you weren't in the right mood I suppose. It is very good. Maybe you'll revisit it some day. Start with something more to your liking and let your taste develop some. You'll find yourself appreciating things more for what they are. Sorry if I sound condescending. If you don't watch films much then I would say that's the problem.
And if we're mentioning worst movies how has no one said The Village?
The English Patient is god awful too. I wouldn't be mentioning it if I'd stopped watching when I wanted to, but no. I had to sit through the entire thing.
And Twins. It was on RTE yesterday. Arnies worst film. Even Kindergarden Cop had its moments but that THING is unredeemable.

I do believe that you are mistaken, all four of those films are in fact fantastic fun when viewed through the awesomeness of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Blair Witch Project.Worst cinema experience ever

I loved the Blair Witch for it's originality - plus it was scary.

    Worst:
Jacobs Ladder - what a bunch of crap!
Boxing Helena - what a bunch of crap!
Hey dude where's my car - still annoys me to this day that it made the flicks.

Try Jacobs Ladder again. I thought it was excellent.

    Worst films I've ever seen?

Lady In The Water- self indulgent claptrap. Awful.
Hostel Part II- Ninety minutes I'm never going to get back.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End- At wit's end, more like.
Sex And The City- Awful, shallow rubbish.
    10,000 BC- Laughably stupid.
    Pathology- Waste of time.

Thank god someone else mentioned this.. Truly the worst movie I have ever (1/4) seen. I think it may be one of the only DVDs i have ever turned off 30 minutes in.

I can help you put a finger on it, zooming in on the rat at the end just p*ssed me off. I was a huge Scorsese fan but haven't liked anything he's done since Goodfellas. In fact I find the more of his recent films I watch, the more I dislike him.

    Here's my list

    T3
I felt violated after watching this

    Any Will Smith Film
    For obvious reasons

    Last Days
If I wanted to watch some stoner walk arond a park in a funny hat, mumbling to himself, I'd go to St Stevens Green

    The Business
    You're not a hard man Danny, You're a twat

Headrush - a dire Irish movie that rips off every '90s youth drugs movie badly.
Saw the director in the street after the movie and wanted to punch the talentless prat.

I think I got to 20 minutes, said WTF? and turned it off. I really do wonder how certain films get made!

Also, IQ with Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. truely bad.

WHAT? Explain please..... It's one of my favourite films ever!

It's a love or hate film and I thought it was pure garbage unfortunately. Same applies to Donnie Darko (love or hate film), but I loved that.

I should say that it is used as the standard of how crap a film can be in our household. :D I think we were bitter about all the rave reviews on the front cover being lies (to us at least).

It may be an all or nothing film for a lot of people, but I know millions of Lynch's ardent fans who would totally disregard your low opinion of what is one of the great recent cinematic classics.

Yes well I wouldn't care to know what Lynch's ardent fans think of it. It would be like asking a boyzone fan what they thought of their latest single.....

The film had no point unless there was knife in one of the scenes.
