Power Sled

    Hey,

    Been looking at a power sled now for a while but really just cant afford it atm. Splashed out a bit on equipment lately n havta put a hold on. Just wondering what have/do people use. I was thinkn about a used tyre and trying to make up sum kind of harness (pressuming just sumthinh wrapped around your stomach aint gona do you any favours. Cheers

    old wheelbarrow, remove wheels and handles, fill with sandbags etc. Bolt some chain to it. It'll do you for grass but not for indoors or concrete obviously.

    We hade a simple harness out of a martial arts belt by wrapping it twice around your waist, tieing a knot, then removing it and putting your two arms into the loops you just made to make an upper body harness. Not too good for really heavy work like towing vehicles but good for light stuff.

    You can also get scaffolding harnesses made of webbing and some loops. Don't know the cost though.

    Harness could be made from a old backpack, some will have webbing straps and you might be able to feed new webbing through it.

    There was a thread on sleds in the forum in my signature link a while ago. Lots of good ideas on that site.
