I can't seem to send/receive any mails. Outlook seems to have vanished from the phone from looking deeper into it.

Can someone tell me how to install outlook again? HTC touch cruise Pro. Cheers.

that's an odd one...hm? Have you used file explorer to check in the windows folder? Programs folder? Maybe you can re-start the .exe?
Download the trial version of dinarsoft's "MemMaid", it has an add/remove module and a registry "investigator" etc etc... You can find out if outlook's still there, of if the service is b*ggered etc.. MemMaid also shows all auto-start processes and services and p(ocket)outlook should be one of them... I've had some less importan apps disappear on me, and been able to get them to work again thanks to MemMaid (the 10 day trial version is not limited in functionality! Also useful to clean all the "gunk" from your phone - dead registry etc...so, even if outlook's gone, it'll be usefull for removing remnants...)

Ok I've been messing about a bit more. It appears that the outlook is there, it is most likely the db containing all my messages is corrupted.

Does anyone have any information on just resetting that?

This may not be what your looking for but:
On a previous WM5-6 phone that i had i also had a problem with losing all my email messages in outlook.
Happened after every soft reset and it drove me absolutely crazy.
I eventually found an app called mailaccountrepair to restore the messages.
Might be worth a look if nothing else.
I never had this problem with a Touch-Cruise though.
