C&C appreciated as it's my first time attempting
    a) this sort of sport photography
    b) panning

Also feels good to be back shooting again :D

Pic 1 would be my fav, wheel slightly of the ground and face showing and for your 1st time panning they are fantastic, I must try the panning type photography some time in the future.
    What Lens did you use?

Nice one CM, didn't manage to make this myself. What's going on at the bottom of each of the photos?

What is it you mean whyulittle? It's dirt. Spectators were kept about 10-20 ft back from the actual track/roads, and the dirt banks were a little raised ..

I was using my 24-70L for the fast AF..

More in my set on flickr btw

Well done CM on the pics. I can appreciate the effort put in as I was at the Skerries 100 last weekend, and it was also my forst time shooting this type of photography.

No. 1 is well captured. You panned in time with the motorcyclist and caught his face through the clear visor. As for the wheel in the air, well that's just icing on the cake. I would like to see these in larger format but your flickr is set to private.

No. 2 is nicely caught but could do with a little more exposure. Also it's a pity the side back has been caught in each shot. It takes away from the crispiness of this and shot 1.

No. 3 is not as cleanly caught as 1 & 2 as the front half of the bike and the head are blured showing that your timing was slightly off - I know it's not as easy as it looks ;)

No. 4 is a bummer. Right place, right cyclist, great move, just not panning in time with the bike . I can feel your pain.

    Overall well done.
