What is the general treatment for a crick in the neck, is it the likes of DeepHeat or Biofreeze? Hot or cold?

how do you mean a "crick"?

It depends on the sort of feeling you get. If it's bothering you alot, get a massage. The general rule is that if it is something like an acute injury it is ice, after that if it is chronic and has been going on for a while you can put some heat on it, but no for too long as you can damage the nerve endings... i learned the hard way!!
