Trying to remember a retro board game....

This one is a bit vague. All I remember is that it was around in the early to mid 80's. It was an orange vertical board with blue pieces that may or may not have been magnetic, may or may not have metal cores to them, may or may not have been stackable objects and may or may not have involved the pieces falling to the bottom of the board in a donkey-kong-esque fashion.

Can't remember the name of the game or even the objective. Sorry I can't give more of a description but it's something that definetly existed and popped into my head just now.

    Thanks in advance.

Kong Man by Tomy? Had some orange in it.

That's kind of the idea of it but I don't think that's the one. The board wasn't as cluttered as the one in KONGMAN and I definetly remember there being blue pieces in the game (rather than just metal balls).

The colours aren't right but was it anything like Downfall?

Connect 4 (other than the vertical and pieces falling to the bottom the rest would be all wrong though- was blue with red and yellow pieces of plastic, no magnets/metal)

Nope it's not Downfall or Connect 4. I had both of them and whilst they are vertical games it must be remembered that they defo had classic blue boards - not orange.

This game I'm thinking of had an orange board and some blue pieces in it. Ruu is defo in the right area but that's not the game I'm thinking of either.

    Any other ideas?

It's an old question but the answer is that the game was 'Up Against Time' (for anyone who might read this.)

Well done to J-jack for bumping and helping to find an answer, however the OP has not logged onto Boards in nearly 3 years!
