    Anyone care to comment?

The 1st one looks like a total mismatch

well looks can be deceiving. Some big hits absorbed by both men. Crazy bear with the crazy hair gets two takedowns to steal Rd1 on my card 10-9

just after tuning in, it's the piotor(wrong speling) fight. Looks like a complete mismatch but the crazy bear guy seems to be getting the best of it in round two

definately crazy bears round. Great take downs, better striking standing up. More active on the ground. Piotor seems burnt cardiowise

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Big take down for Crazy bear early in rd2, quickly gets mount but loses position with a real lazy arm bar attempt.
Both men gassed, back on their feet. Piorer can hardly keep his arms up....another take down by Crazy bear, lands a few hammer fists from side control. 10-9 again.
    Pioter needs Ko or sub.

Crazy bear dominated that with the leg kicks, parried away most of piotor,s shots. Crazy bears fight.

pretty uneventful final round. Flurry of punches from Pioter near the end but Crazy bear tied him up against the cage. Both glad to hear the bell. Stan the crazy bear takes Unanimous decision

watson dominates on the ground after struggling to get takedown. Phillips ground game doesnt look great. Watson Knees to the head as phillips was getting up. No point deducted. Rd1 to Watson

Anyone now where i can find a stream? i'm very annoyed that the ntl i PAY FOR doesn't have nuts whereas freeview does

All Watson again. Phillips looks one Dimentional, relying on his boxing. Watson sticking to his game plan. Tieing up and landing knees in the clinch, and dominating on the ground. 2 big rounds for Watson.
Phillips needs Ko early rd3 or I think it will go the same way as the 1st 2 rounds

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

'Shut out' for Watson. Total domination and a very frustrating night for Phillips.

Mustapha al Turk v James Macsweeny (sp?).Feel free to add your own comments .
    Should be good!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Mus with quick takedown and gnp. No contest. Very disappointing fight.Mcsweeny took several hits to back of head but he had no chance anyway with Mustapha on his back , hooks in and pounding. 2 mins only

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Buzz berry v Neil Grove next. Expect this to be over quick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Very hard to score that round. both very wary of each other. Grove scored a nice low kick which caused buzz to change stance. Buzz got take down. Cant separate them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Grove starts to chop buzz down with low kicks. Puts him down and strikes from standing ref stops it.
Buzz get some oxygen from medics. Some powerful punches landed there by grove. Buzz bloodied eye and mouth but on his feet now.

    Buzz calls out Mustapha

Main event next. Two knobs called Bad boy (Bailey) and Bad ass start dissing Baroni and stuff, trying to rally the crowd. Not really necessary.

    Anyone else watching?

Quite like Jansen but always a fan of Baroni. Now that they have started this Engerland v USA crap and Rocky balboa I hope Phil ko's his ass. USA...USA...USA...

I really hope the NYBA pulls this off - would love to see Baroni do well at WW

Baroni with early take down wow!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Good ****ing Night. Baroni with KO!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Kent Brockman

Some ****ing tool just headbutted Baroni full in the face and ran out of the ring. What a **** a credit to the English! Also Jansens GF/manager ran up to Baroni making the w*nker sign and calling him a w*nker. Classy classy bird!

Btw what did people think of the ref standing them up with phil in full mount?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 79 ✭✭hypnosisdublin

Phil took a clean head butt in the face and it didn't even faze him! He truly has an amazing chin!

    That Knob should be jailed!

They never showed Ais the Bais ;) Highlights, bummer.

That tool should be charged and brought before a judge. Stupid enough to do it on live tv then I can only imagine what he does on the streets.

Only my second time seeing Cage Rage (first time was in a noisy pub in company so I couldn't concentrate on it) but don't want to sound very negative but TBH I think the show smacks of been a bit scummy. Didn't see all of the fights BUT matching Jansen with Phil Baroni WTF???!!! He might be up and coming but not for someone like Baroni.

Thought that was BS, as Baroni had just got into mount and was about to start teeing off.
Also Jansens GF/manager ran up to Baroni making the w*nker sign and calling him a w*nker. Classy classy bird!

Jaysus, you must not have seen her on Cage Fighter, she came across even worse on that. She loved it when Dave O'Donnell described them as the Posh and Becks of MMA:o

Never watching this again , total sh**e, 1st match i was like ok i know these lads are heavy weights but your man had a bear belly ffs heavy weights in otehr promotions are at least in shape and have heard of cardio, these lads where both out of puff b4 the bell rang, and that dirty headbutt from that chav and baroni acted as if it was a love tap lmao.

I did manage to find some stuff on line from the fight network shot in newry and was surprised by the lack of punches to the face while on the ground i guess if ur semi pro u dont want to be bruised going to work on monday

Its hard not to be negative about a lot of things on that show.

They seem to be pulling against everyone who is trying to promote MMA in a sporting light.

FFS the main promoter is like a wannabe cockney gangster on speed!
and keeps going on about smashing heads etc.etc.. then he says"oh yeah and the girl fight was good too...."

The ring announcer is like something from a sleazy movie where guys fight bare-knuckle to the death in a carpark at night, or the likes.

And the thing with the two 'bad asses' 'bad boys' (whatever) mouthing off about Baroni, and trying to start a 'spank the yank' chant..that just looked bad:(

I have heard that there has been crowd trouble at some of the events (from Sherdog forum), which is no surprise after seeing those 2 knobs in the ring after Baronis fight.

Its a pity really cus they have some good fighters and could appeal to a wider audience with a different approach. Rant over:D

The ‘New York Badass’ Phil Baroni has decided not to press charges following an assault on him at Wembley Arena on Saturday night, witnessed by millions on live television.

Cage Rage officials have, however, banned the brother of his defeated opponent, Scott Jansen, from attending future fights following the incident at Cage Rage 27 presented by EliteXC.

First, the American banged out plucky Brit Jansen in a blistering battle, which lasted just 3:18 of round one. Then as Baroni went to check on Jansen’s condition, he fended off an attacker that, without warning, headbutted the 32-year-old.

A sanguine Baroni has decided to let the matter rest. “These things happen,” said Baroni. “It must be tough to see a loved one get knocked out like that. Emotions ran high. I want to put this behind me.”

Dave O’Donnell, Cage Rage co-promoter stated, “We launched an immediate investigation into cage-side security and have issued a ban on a member of Scott’s family attending future fights.

“This should not have happened. Baroni has shown a lot of dignity throughout. Many fighters might have responded and escalated the situation.

“It was great to see the guys in the bar after the fight shaking hands and joking.”

His girlfriend should be banned too. Piece of trash.
