    Haven't a bulls myself

Vtec would be the man for this really, we're all just back from the gathering so he should be on here during the week.

I could only guess that the exposed arm on the left of the aeg gearbox has skipped a tooth and isn't correctly selecting auto, have a look at the left side of the gearbox and the teeth on the selector arm, are they in the right place?

Thats only a guess, but could be it.

Edit: Jamming sound? Could you elaborate, does the gun fire?

Quick question, is the selector switch loose or sloppy? has it loosened from the body? Dboys can have loose screws!!! might not be the case, and yes Vtec is your man for M4 issues.

the aeg fired but only while on semi and the fire selector switch moved ok between semi and safe but there was resistance when seleccting full auto.

but now it seems as if theres no power going to the motor so everything is falling apart!!!!:(:(

Did you look at the gearbox yet?

Where are you located, it might be worth bringing it to a store to have it looked at.

i wouldn't be too confident taking it apart knowing my luck i'd damage it more.
I'm in south dublin and the nearest store to me is go tactical so not too sure if they'd be able to do anything with it.

I'd recommend taking it onto eirsoft if you can, richie can fix anything.

It costs 14€ to post it either.

theres a couple of things it could be really, most likely it could be the spring on the selector plate, that can come out and lodge itself inside the trigger area, that then jams the cut off lever.,
it does require you to strip the whole gun though so if your not too good with the tools ya might wanna get someone else to do it, if ya want to give it a go though, have a look at www.mechbox.com and theres some info and videos there about stripping them down.,

ive had this problem on a couple of aegs
it turned out to be the fire selector plate itself had snaped the spring will push it to semi but not to full auto .
the selector switch on the receiver will push the broken part to full auto but the contacts them selves stay on semi .

ok people sorted the problem:D:D!! there was a tiny spring above the fire selector switch on the gearbox it was found after taking EVERYTHING!! apart
once that was done i hooked everything up but still nothing until i checked the fuse which was blown to smithereens so a quick replacement and my aeg is like new!!:D

so i'd like to thank everyone for their input, help and putting up with my noobishness:D

rite sorry to bump an old thread but i thought it would save space. The D-Boys M4 is now acting the muppet on me again ,any time i squeeze the trigger there is a noise which sounds like the motor trying to spin but then a jamming noise and the fuse gets really hot!!, i'm completely stumped by this one so any help would be appreciated :confused:
