Im just wondering what the right course of action is. To cut a long story short I went sking last december and took bit of a tumble. I fell hard on my thumb which was very very painful for about 3 or 4 weeks, but the swelling never went away.
It was ok,but very stiff and tender up untill about 3 weeks ago when I tried to open a bottle of soft drink when it just became really painfull again. But what i have noticed is that my thumb is not actually swollen, but it appears a bone is out of place.

Should I go to A&E or to my GP,given that its a relativley old injury??

Definitely GP ahead of A&E. You should have gotten seen for this in December tbh - never wait with injuries! You may need to see a consultant but it's not an emergency anymore (the damage is done) and you would be doing a great disservice to urgent cases there. Now if we could just get rid of the alcohol related time wasters.

you need to see someone anyway - best of luck - hope its not too injured.
