    I'm a guy in my early 20's and I've had the same style hair since I was 15....short back and sides with spiked fringe....boring!!!!!! I really want to grow my hair out and it is about 8 weeks since my las hair cut!

    The problem is that I have no idea what to do with it! It's starting to hit that awful looking middle stage. Should I go get maintainence cuts or will that just slow the progress...should I just stick it out?

    Also I don't really want to go to the hair stylist until I know its at least long enough to get a new style cut into it?

    Any lads gone through this that can offer me advice?

    I'm hoping to end up with the Zac Efron style like this:

    I had really short hair this time last year and I started to grow it and by November/ December it was near enough that length. Stick it out.

    U should go to a hairdresser (not a barber) and tell him/her ur growing it long so that you just want it tidied up up a bit and thinned out. They will use thinning shears to take out the thickness but will leave the length. I went through the same insecurity u went through such as people will think i'm a lazy slob! Good luck mate.
