What good exercises have you all got for wrist strength?
I play hockey and alot of skill depends on how strong/flexible/fast your wrists are.
So basically is there any exercises dedicated to improving your wrist strength?

put a weight on the end of a golf club. Hold vertical, rotate to horizontal on the left, to the same on the right. If that is too light use a longer club or add weight.

I agree with the previous poster, levering exercises are excellent for building wrist strength. You can do them with a golf club but here's a page on doing them with a sledge hammer :)

I'd suggest that the "sledge toss" may be the one that's most suitable for the OPs goals.

The wrists are easily hurt so be v. careful.

Hmmmm my left wrist has been troubling me the last fortnight. Not "sore" as such, just a slight slight soreness sensation in it. If I rotate it a few times I can hear it popping.
Doing lat pulldowns today, I had to stop because with the movement of the wrist at the bottom of the motion , I was getting a short sharp shock .
Its not affecting my lifting at all , yet, but I dont want it to progress.

    Reverse barbell curls will help?

    thanks

Sounds like you need to fix your pulldown form... It's a back exercise. There should be no rotation in the wrists!! You're probably doing what alot of people do and trying to pull it too far down.

Reverse curls MIGHT help, but the wrist is such a complicated joint there's no real way of knowing.
