Just got an Xbox today. Have everything connected properly but there is no picture. There's not much about it in the manual but it seems to say that it's to do with the settings on the TV. Anyone know what to do?

Are you using HD input? cause that happens with it,you have to set it to lower display settings through the settings in the xbox, just try it on a normal tv and change it,

Same thing happened to me. If you push in the cable at the back of the console it might flicker on. I think it was a problem with the cable. I rang Xbox support, they went through a few things, eventually nothing worked and they said just bring it back and the shop will replace it. Went in to Smyths the next day, they were going to try it out themselves but they were busy, so they just gave the replacement.

Are you sure your AV cable is switched to TV and not HDTV?
