Disability Allowance and Rent Supplement

Just wondering. I'm looking to get a place back in Cork but I can't afford it without supplement. I won't be able to get a job for a while either. I qualify for it as far as I know but I'm wondering how much I might get, so I can factor that into my house search.

I was talking to someone the other day and I was told I wouldn't be allowed get a place more than 400 a month. Is this true? Because I wouldn't mind paying 10 euros of my own money if it meant getting a better place.
