My GF has just given away a Nikon S9 as she said it was rubbish for using at nightime, just read a few reviews and it seems to back this up.
She wants a new Compact type P+C Camera which is good at night time pictures and is easy to use, ie Auto!!
Throw your suggestions at me please!

Low light is the biggest problem with P&S cameras because of the small sensors. I've heaed good thing about the fujifilm F series tho.

the Fuji 50FD is your man. Compares quite favorably with my 20D. I've only taken maybe 100 photos with it but was really impressed. Has other high end features also, high iso (useable) , high shutter speed etc.

Might even be persuaded to sell it as I've little use for it. ;)

I have the F40 and the F50 they are truly excellent cameras..
Great in low light, and natural light. they even have a setting for shooting 2 images, one without and one with flash..
I got them for quick photos of babies without flash..
there is also a f100 version and the now legendary F30...
