Horse laying Systems - Do They Work?

I'm sure this has been asked several times already, but I just don't know where to turn.

Is there any horse laying system that genuinely DOES make a long-term profit? What experiences have you guys had?

I have used Daily Donkey a little but due to its misleading SPs I am making a loss with it.

Hope you guys can shed some light!

    Mike

Some work, some don't. It's like everything in life though - nothing comes easy.

I run a lays system each summer (have done for the past three years now) that has at least doubled the starting bank each year. Doesn't sound like a lot, but ask your high street bank for a return like that and you'll be told where to go!
At the moment, the stats stand as follows:

    Bets: 698
    Unsuccessful Lays 90
    Strike Rate: 87.11 %
    Starting Bank: €1,000.00
    Bank all-time high: €2,525.49
    Bank all-time low: €946.65

    Current Bank: €2,133.57
Next stake: €16.00 (0.75% of bank)

If you want to keep an eye on it, I post the selections HERE each day. I'm not saying you should necessarily follow it or anything, but it proves that money can be made from systems, and you'll see how it is full of highs and lows.

Regarding the commercial tipping services, be very careful with the laying ones. Many record their results to traditional SP - however, you'd need to be offering better prices to traditional SP to get matched on Betfair or Betdaq.

A horse priced 16/1 for example, might be easily available at 25s on Betfair. If it wins, the tipster may record a loss of 16pts, however the layer in reality would be taking a hit of 25pts.

Just be careful to read the small print if you are thinking of doing it.

Why not try come up with your own systems?

Places like Adrian Massey (free) and www.horseracebase.com (donation) have very decent system builders.
