I'm posting these up for full on C&C in the light of Fajitas's thread, having had 2 weeks of almost unbroken sunshine and temps in the high 20's, I feel able to stand whatever comes......

This one was taken on a tourist boat trip between Beziers and Coloumbiers on the Canal Du Midi, I would consider this well within my comfort zone, and my approach was to try to produce a classical postcard/brochure type shot.

A Lion taken on a trip to the African reserve near Sigean, close to Narbonne. We were under strict instruction to keep the car windows closed, so its taken through glass with my Oly 70-300, at 263mm handheld. I've upped the contrast and blacks in Lightroom to compensate for shooting through glass. I just wanted to have a close up.

We went to the beach one Sunday, I'm not one for lying around for too long so when I saw the kitesurfers I decided to have a go at shooting them, and get some practice at sports/action, I spent about 45 minutes shooting them, again with my Oly 70-300, took about 160 shots, and finished up with maybe 10 keepers, so I think I need more practice! This one was one of my favourites, its reasonably sharp and I like the way the water is rolling off the board. Taken at 300mm (600 effective) handheld, with a slight crop in PP as well as some highlight recovery.

This one was taken on a day trip to Barcalona, we were on a bus tour and had only about 2 hours for lunch and a quick walk up and down Las Ramblas, I was trying to get something a little different so took this shot about from about 6 inches above the path, hoping to pickup on the coulor of the fallen tree blossom and also some of the movement of a big city.
