Well my apogee duet finally arrived today. Have only just got it running.

I am genuinely blown away by the quality of the DAC in it. Like really blown away.

I was well aware of how bad my mbox 2's output was but this is just incredible. Looking forward to using the pre's and adc's on it too as I love the ensemble. And apparently they're the same ones.

anywho I'm off to sonic bliss for a few hours.:)

    Nothing unusual there though?

Thomann. 389. A bargain in any man's books.
I mean i've used decent converters before and I just thought my room was just a bit dull sounding.

But it literally sounds like I've taken a blanket off the speakers.

So clean in the highs, and the fecking lows are killer (especially for all that dancey music the kids dig nowadays!).

Way more 'balanced' sounding if ya get me, like more controlled or something.

First time I've ever bought a piece of gear and had my jaw drop when I heard it.

I saw one for €350. I was looking at it the other day. Nice piece of kit. Went for a Profire 2626 instead. I decided I'd hook the AD's to the Profire.
Now I have a 24 track system for the laptop. Nice eh?
Gonna post a picture when she's racked up!
