I am looking for a website where you can hire a comedian for a night, there are some famous acts on it and i randomly found it on Google, does anyone know about it?

Most of the famous Irish comedians are signed to the Lisa Richards promotion agency, here's their website address.

    http://www.irish-comedy.com/

If you have another specific comedian in mind who isn't on the list most of them have myspace pages so a quick search on that should put you in touch with whoever you're looking for. Hope that's helpful to you

There are also some sites out there that CLAIM to represent certain comedians, or CLAIM to have certain comedians on their books, when in fact all they did was email that comedian for a price list, and then stick them up as a 'client'.

Best to go straight to the specific comedian you want.
