Having issues connecting to the internet with my Airport Extreme 802.11n & Ntl Cable Modem (Purple one).

Previously I had an Airport Express and can connect to the web without any problems but as soon as I connect the Airport Extreme it just won't work, am I doing anything wrong or is it a problem with Ntl's cable modem.

Please if anyone has any information I'd be very grateful, its wrecking my head!!

Well you can easily establish whether the modem is working properly by connecting directly to it.

Secondly you have not given us a clue as to what exactly is not working.

Are you connecting to the AE by ethernet or by wireless? Is the wireless network being broadcast? Is your computer picking up a wireless signal.

What way have you got the extreme set up?

Boardsies are not mind readers and it is impossible to even begin attempting to help you if you do not tell us as much as possible about your set up.

Sorry dub45, it was late last night and I was really frustrated.

I currently have Ntl cable modem which is hooked up to an Airport Express via ethernet which I then connect to wirelessly from my Macbook, I've never had any issues until I installed the new Airport Extreme, which is now replacing my Airport Express.

When I setup the Airport Extreme and connected the NTL modem I went through the guided process, upon completion I can see the wireless Airport Extreme Network via Wifi and can connect to it but I can't access the internet.

Hope I've covered everything, any questions let me know.

    Thanks.

Nothing happening in here, can I be moved back? Or moved to the Mac section.

Have you tried connecting to the AE by ethernet? It is important to establish if the AE is picking up the interent connection to pass on.

Also if you go into manual set up and internet tab what option do you have for connection sharing?
