battery grip for nikon d60

Does anyone have any experience with battery grips for a Nikon D60, I have recently been using a D70 at work and I have to say I like the feel of the bigger body in my hand.

I know that Nikon don’t do a grip and that there are 3rd party models out there that use IR release for the vertical shutter. On another site I saw a picture that shows contacts inside the D60 battery compartment that could be used for a direct vertical shutter release – do the D40/x have these??

What are the chances that Nikon will release a grip that fits the D60 (have they a history of releasing accessories after the release of a model?

Anyhow, as I first said the thing I am most interested in is the additional grip – if anyone knows of a 3rd party that has a good match to the Nikon I would appreciate any info

    mind you, nikons D40, D40x, D50, D60 and D70 don't have grip contacts
so, a grip will be OK with the batteries, you'll probably have a manual/physical switch to swap between the 2 batteries in the grip
but the critical thing is, you'll have to put your camera in remote control mode (like if you're going to use a infrared remote control), which in fact is what the grip is
the only thing you won't have is a half-pressed position
as with any wireless remote, once you press the button the camera will correct autofocus and will fire
still good for many, but be aware of what you won't have
