Silly question but is there a specific hairdressers term for layered hair that sits down flat on the head & hasn't any sticky out bits? Sorry if that sounds odd but I always ask for long layers that won't stick out when I'm at the hairdressers and the sticky out layers are the ones I always end up getting!

lil bit more to it than that im affraid...
If you have wavy hair like me - its gonna flick/curl/ not be completely straight & smooth unless you dry it straight...

but yeah, long layers are the ones you'd want if you dont want a huge amount of layering...

I have completely straight hair but whenever the hairdresser gives me these sticky out layers (for want of a better name ha!) and no matter how straight I blow dry it they still stick out and start to curl. Plus my hair is really thick at the ends and whenever I ask them to please thin out the ends it's too square and thick they give me the 'sticky out layers' but leave the ends really thick! I seriously am gonna look through every magazine till I get a picture of what I want!!
