What to wear with white skirt?

Hi Ladies,

I bought a lovely white high waisted a-line skirt and I haven't a notion of what to wear with it. I was thinking flats as Its a casual affair that I'm going to but dressy enough at the same time I just don't know what to wear on top. It has sort of a gold rim at the top of it and its high waisted so whatever top i get i will probably tuck it in. Anyone any ideas please of colour/type of top to wear?

Grassy green or purple I'd think... what's your hair colour and length OP? That can heavily change things though

Thanks I never thought of orange and I actually like that colour on me. Cheers. I think maybe a nice orange vest top?? Now where to find one? Its always easy when you have somethign in your head that you want but you can never find it in the shops. so annoying

I have long black hair and normal skin tone like not white and not dark if you know what I mean. Purple is actually another option. I don't know why I didn't think of these I was just on a major blank and couldn't think straight at all. Cheers.

Red is actually my favourite colour on me but I don't like wearing it with white for some reason. I just keep having this image that I look like a candy cane.

Penneys are always good for a range of vests in different colours- or H+M maybe?

Have white skirt on me at the mo - yes i got dressed with the curtains pulled doh
have white pumps on & fawn (light brown/latte colour) top on
with pearls to match

I love to co-ordinate as you can tell - oh have dark hair

you should wear something patterny or polka dotty for sure! you should also wear some kind of flower in your hair too that would give it a nice retro twist

I personally think white looks great with black. the two go well together.

hard to say without seeing it with the gold trim bit. Navy could work. Red would look good as well or brown, well more beige.

I agree, I like black tops with a white skirt at night. During the day, I like light blue or blue grey with white skirts.

I do have dark skin though, so if you're very pale, it may not work as well.

a simple black high collered sleeveless shirt. with some classic gold chunky jewellery. thatd be a day time look.
dress it up at night with high gold heels and maybe a simple orange vest top and nice chunky jewellery
