memory trouble with ipod

i have an ipod with 3.63gb memory but i was putting some music on to it from the pc and there is 2.34gb of other memory in use there for limiting my space for music i dont have any photos,videos,or pictures on my ipod and the only other memory in use is 3 games that were in the settings when i bought it can anybody tell me…
