I'm pretty sure its a degree in both business and law. You will have to pass the bar afterwards to practice law anyway. I know a lot of people who will specialise in corporate law when finished. I am pretty sure it gives you both a business and legal qualification.

yeah, that's basically the jist..it's a dual degree which gives you a broader range of options after college.
a lot of my friends are in this course..pretty popular both for social and academic reasons.. lot of reading but sure that's a given..i'm no expert, but from what i hear(from folk in B&L and those who did pure law, this is the better course)

    best of luck!!

There's no universal answer to that question. College is what you make it. Some people love UCD, some people hate it.

Qualifications can be a funny word at times

OP you should search this forum for the many Commerce\Law vs B&L threads. tbh Im surprised there isnt a consolidated stickied one...

I think that NUI Maynooth have added a business and law course just this year, since its new I don't know how it compares to The UCD B&L and there is no way to know how high the points will be but its a good back up if you want to do B&L.

I am in with the B&L people for our Law lectures (just finished 1st year). We do 3 law subjects in 1st and 2nd year so it is easy to manage. I know loads in B&L too and the class is extremely close and get on well. They have regular class trips and parties.
If you are looking to do Corporate Law as a career then I would highly recommend that degree. I know a person who has a job already with a Corporate Law firm in England despite only graduating this year. The pay is mighty for a starting salary!
