    Hi,

I have decided I want to leave Ireland and move ideally to London. I have a general degree and then a post-graduate one. I am interested in getting into administration and building my CV. However having no knowledge of London I am unsure as how to go about looking for jobs. I intend to book flights and head over in the coming weeks.

Would anyone have any information as to which newspapers advertise jobs on a particular day and which websites are best for graduate Job hunters in London. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks:)

I started off with some of the agencies there, I dealt with Adecco but there are heaps of different ones. They do temp, part-time, full-time stuff. It's a start.

look through the job websites, identify the agencies that cover your area and get in touch with them, keep applying for anything that looks interesting on totaljobs, reed etc.

don't think the newspapers would be a good starting point tbh.

I got my first job in London through prospects.ac.uk (I think thats the address). It was mainly graduate jobs. Other one is milkround.ac.uk.
Got my second job by posting up my CV on a website. I felt quite nervous doing it but I ended up getting loads of calls from agencies (mostly very small ones) and luckily got loads of interviews. Saved me doing the work of applying myself. Can't remember the CV site but it was an IT jobs type one. I think only registered recruiters can access them. For admin and IT jobs, best site by far is jobserve.co.uk
