eBay Non Payment

Ok, sold two tickets to a festival on Sun night.
Sent invoice and all that advising that instant payment is best as the event is this weekend.

They emailed Sun night say they would pay on the Mon, then on Mon someone else said that they were paying and asked how to do so.
As stated on my listing PayPal is the only method i accept.

    No word since.

Naturally i still have the tickets, but what do i do? I cant send them till i get paid, and unless i get paid in the next few minutes i wont be able to post them tomorrow which is the last possible day for them to get there in time.

And what happens then? If they know thats its too late they wont pay for them, do i have any come back on this? I cant just re-list the items, they will be useless after this weekend.

    Any advise?

You've no real comeback. Start a non paying bidder dispute with eBay, but if they choose not to pay then you can't force them, all you'll get is your listing fee refunded.

If the event is this weekend you still have time. You can post them by a special type of delivery that's guaranteed to get to its destination by 9am the next day. Re dvertise them on ebay as buy it now, maybe someone else wants them.

You could request their contact details and give them a call. You can make the request by going to Advanced Search then Find Contact Information. You'll need your buyer's User ID and the item number of the listing.

the best thing to do is to re-advertise as buy it now, i was looking for tickets to the same event and the guy after getting in touch with me personally after an e-mail actually drove the tickets to me at half face value. your safer gettin at least something back

Thanks for the advise so far.

    Opened an eBay dispute.

Buyer emailed me saying that are having trouble setting up PayPal because it takes 3-4 days to setup, this might be true, but it was clear on my listing that it was the only form of payment accepted.

She provided me with a number to call to try and sort something out. But its a northern mobile number by the looks of it, im thinking its just a time waster who wants me to lose more money. Besides im in
donegal and they are in athy, a meet up wouldnt really be possible. :(

If you are in Donegal, and the buyer is in Athy but giving you a Northern Ireland number, then something isn't right.

You could ask the buyer to transfer the money by bank, that way you have the money guaranteed, then post by next day special delivery.

It think if they were serious about buying they wouldve suggested that by now, and i havent got any reply from my last email i sent.
They had a UK address on ebay listing, but then emailed saying that was an old address, might have explained the '0044' mobile.

Anyway, i just gave them away to a friend who is going tomorrow, maybe he might have some hope of getting €20 each or something.

Bloody sickened though, whats worse is that i dont think eBay lets sellers give negative feedback anymore!! And seen as they are time wasters they could end up giving me bad feedback on badness.

I think you should go to the help section and write ebay an email explaining what has happened. That way, if they leave bad feedback you might stand a chance of getting it removed, and if you file a dispute at least ebay will give them a strike.
