Travelling home to Kildare from Cork today and took these three. What do you think? What could I do to improve them? Thanks.

Some really great photos. I love the line and view in the 2nd image.

The third is the best, IMHO. Love the use of thirds, the colours, the detail, the saturation.

    Great images.

    Hi Ballyman

You're second image is what I love about this board - an alternative way at looking a the mundane and making it in to something great and original. I would however liked to have seen two versions of this shot, one off centre the way this is and the other central. But this shot has got that wow factor.

The other two shots however could be anywhere on any camera :osorry:o. They do nothing for me.

the first shot is good but the power lines spoil it, the second shot is interesting, I like the way you got low down to take it

Thanks for all the comments. I finally got my hands on Lightroom this morning so this is my first attempt at improving (or ruining) a pic. Is this an improvement on the third one? I've left in more of the sky this time as I thought it looked a little dramatic.

I also removed the cables in the first and tried to jazz up the third a little.

Personally, I don't like the changes you've made. I thought the original images were much better.

I knew someone would say that :)

I actually prefer the originals myself as well but I was mad to try out this Lightroom. Need a bit of training it seems!!

It's not what you use, but what you do with the images in Lightroom. Don't blame the application for what you did.

I think they look nice :) but thats photography in a nutshell though. One mans Mona Lisa is another mans snapshot..

I'm not blaming it. :) I know who and what changed the pics.

I had Zoombrowser before today which basically only allowed me to increase/decrease saturation, brightness and contrast so as you can imagine I was like a child at christmas when I got my first view of LR this morning and what it could do! What must PS be like!!!
