Myself and the GF are heading up to MacNeans Bistro on Sunday nite and cant seem to find directions to it from Dublin.

I know you head up towards Cavan town and then on for Enniskillen but where from there?

    thanks

just from google maps (maybe you have already checked this out) directions from dublin, you don't go near cavan at all, you go via mullingar, county longford and county leitrim - says it takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes

but if you go to cavan first which is 1 & half hours (depending on roads) and then on to blacklion is another hour or more

i never visited blacklion but maybe someone else might suggest a better way

You would want to be bonkers to consider taking the cross country drive - miles and miles of bog roads later, your car would love you for it.

You need to go to Enniskillen (40 miles past Cavan) and then head out the Sligo Road - this is well signposted as you come into the town. See attached map.

Enniskillen is definately the best route to go. Better roads and much safer if you aren't familiar with the area. Make sure to enjoy McNean's, my mother and father were there just after Christmas and they said it was THE best place they have ever been to eat.
