Traffic lights on roundabout's

I've had it up to my eyeball's with this uniquely Irish solution to traffic control.

The roundabout at the Jack Lynch tunnel is stupid, wait ages to get onto it, then up to a red light, wait for green and then onto another red light. and then 2 minutes later you're away.

Surely the way to do it is to only have one entrance onto the roundabout green and these cars can then go where ever they want. Then this entrance goes red and the next entrance goes green and they get all exit with hassle. and so on for all entrances onto the roundabout.

The worst reason against lights on the roundabout is that it may only take 3 car's to block an exit for a lane behind them. Also in today's environment of fuel cost's, it's stupid.

It's not "uniquely Irish" .. they do it in the UK and a number of other European countries too.
