What is the best way to turn big flabby man boobs into rock hard pecks?

And while I'm at it, whats the best exercise for removing love handles?

its fat and it needs to be burned, this is done by both diet and exercise, the rock hard pec's is going to be achieved by doing chest exercises. there 2 seperate things so need to be treated as such, fat and muscle, they dont change into each other-ever.

OK so, is doing any cardio going to reduce this fat? I have been running regularly (2/3 5mile runs per week) up until recently where i have swapped to cycling (minimum of 50 miles a week) and although there has been a small reduction in fat in these area's they still remain a problem. I also go to the gym twice a week and do 3 compound exercises with one core and a few specific's . I know diet is a big thing and I try to keep to 2500 cal a day.

I'm not looking to loose weight specifically, just reduce the fat in these area's, especially the love handles!!

if you eat too much, the cardio will burn the excess calories!
if you eat a calorie reduced diet the cardio can burn your stored fat, the diet is key to weight loss and the exercise is the helper, weights and cardio, ps, you cant spot reduce area's of the body, like belly fat from sit ups etc..you just lose fat and let your body sort out where it comes from!

You will not spot reduce fat. Weights are fanatastic for overall fat loss, also building muscle under the fat gives a better appearance IMO, I still was fat but had pecs developing under, in which case you have more the appearance of a bouncer/wrestler, and just a semi fat bloke.

Good to see you are doing compound lifts. I would recommend squats (back and front), deadlifts, military press, dips, chinups & pullups, bench press. I also do knee and leg raises during the chins to work the core more. check out www.exrx.net

I do weighted dips, at a weight enough for 5 reps, then do 5 more slow negatives, really hits the chest. I no longer bench since I am not fond of it, and only have a crappy bench at home.

I also used to do a lot of pushups everyday, and am going to start again.

    cheers rubadub,

I do everything you suggested except dips, chinups & pullups. The dips i could start but my gym doesnt have anything for chinups & pullups, I think I will have to improvise! I have been doing Turkish getups as a core but they take a long time to do.
