    Just got one of these and PT 7.4 for my portable rig.
    Whatever's going on I can't seem to get the computer to 'see' the interface.

    OS 10.4.11

    Anyone using this?

    Gotten latest drivers from their website?
    I think I saw something about their latest drivers only working with some of their firewire interfaces.

    Hardware is the Profire 2626.

    Latest everything!!!
    Reset the Ram, airport on/off. Couple of hours at this stage.
    Tech support says it might be from a combo update instead of a regular update on the last OS change...
    I'm going to roll back 2 OS versions now to see does that help.

    Grrrrr!

    I may be wrong I thought that pt would not load up unless you had a piece of digi hardware.

    maybe it is different pt hd.


    I know what else bugged me cant run 2 screens with PT le. clear the firewire bus.

    just my 2c worth if it helps

    Hey John,
    M-Powered PT works with M-Audio stuff.
    It's a matter of the computer seeing the interface but the driver isn't seeing it. Apparently it's a problem specific to 10.4.9 combo update.
    I've rolled back to 10.3 now I need to get 10.4 to get the stuff working again.
    It'll be two days of faffing about by the time I get it sorted, which reminds me...

    I wish, tried 2 already. The firewire part in the about this mac thingy is telling me it's there. Changed cables all the usual.

    7.4 is now qualified for osx 10.5.4

    it may solve thing s quicker new upgrade free ?

    Jaysus! I've already upgraded pro tools and the computers ram. Bloody money pit I tell's ya!

    Yess! It's alive I tells ya!
    Eventually, 3 days! Never have I had a system that was harder to put together!!!
    Keep going back and booting it up to make sure it's working:D

    First I was told not to use 10.4.11 so I spend a day sorting a rollback, not easy on a mac...
    Then used a delta upgrade right back to 10.4.11. Trying easy time 4 restarts for each test, nightmare.
    Guy comes back two days later, use the combo update and repair the disk permissions.
    Quick u/grade to Pro Tools 7.4cs3 and we're laughing...

    Was told earlier not to use the combo upgrade. Well ya live and learn...
