Speaking of husbands and their fetishes...

Speaking of husbands and their fetishes my husband has what I suppose you could call a knicker fetish. He likes them in certain colours (white cotton/light colours) and requests that I wear them when we do the biz, I dont mind, I didnt see any harm in it.

I should add that he is not into wearing them himself or anything like that just me wearing them with a short skirt etc

Recently I got talking to him about it out of curiousity and asked him if when he was younger he ever thought about robbing them off the washing lines of women, I was really only slagging, but to my suprise he said he had thought about it, but never done it......!
I was gobsmacked, but I did ask....

I totally believe he has never done it but find this playing on my mind a bit, what seemed a harmless preoccupation now Im wondering if its something more sinister.....

I suppose I am asking men how common is this and should I be worried....Is it a normal thought for a young man/teenager to have?

See a solicitor at once OP!:p

    Just kidding;)

Seriously I don't think that thinking aboout robbing knickers off a washing line is that bad as fantasies go. And definately not sinister. Mischeivous maybe. I wouldn't worry at all about it tbh

Young guys are massive balls of hormones and if they get a dirty thought in their mind are just plain nuts. He didn't do it so i wouldn't worry. You'd be surprised the messed up thought that have gone through us mens heads at one stage or another.

OP, there is no possible way to describe the odd thoughts, idea's and fantasies that will pop into a young mans mind through the teenage years.

Honest to God it can be like being 4 different people in one day.

I really wouldn't worry about it....in fact i would be pretty happy to have an OH who feels he can be so open and honest with you.

Clearly communication is good in your relationship.:)

"Weird" is not a scale, it's based upon personal experience and opinion.

One person's "vanilla" is another persons "too much". : )

Thanks all, and well you wouldn't see anything sinister in the colours being a bit ...er youthful....rather than black or red etc

To come to the point he admits he has to "cuddled up with" worn clothes of mine and stuff when I am not there.....he swears not knickers, but anyway.......would that be normal or sick?

Teens can get a horn when they see a dog's arse!! no big deal TBH..lots of men have knicker fetishes.

Well now you've stumped me, i'm trying to think of a word to justify something over the top in everyone opinion. Obviously if the OP's husband was wearing the panties then ingesting them I would consider that worse than someone who was just fascinated with their OH wearing them but again by your justification that's just someone elses vanilla. Grr still stumped.

Anyway OP as already said you seem to have the communication thing sorted in your relationship so just don't worry about your OH as all men have crazy urges. :D

+1. I think it's great that your partner can be open with you about stuff. Trust me, on the scale of fantasy, robbing some knickers off a line is about as tame as you can get to be honest so I really don't think you've anything at all to worry about OP.

Not at all. Some men prefer 'innocent' type colours; white, pastel etc, and regard black/red as unappealing and/or trampy. *shrug* Honestly, on the ladder of weirdness and perviness this doesn’t even make the first rung. Lol

Just think about all the photos of female tennis players with knickers showing under their short skirts. It's completely fine.

Not sick. Normal. Kind of cute, even.

as regards colours, maybe these were the knickers he saw when he was going through puberty and it kind of hard-wired itself into him. As long as he don't act on his fantasises (by robbing panties - a fetish so popular, it has its own name by the way - snowdropping) and you're ok with what he does do, I wouldn't worry about it.

two people in germany met on the internet and one ate the other. An austrian man kept his daughter in a specially designed cellar for 24 years and fathered 7 of her children

there is nothing that is over the top in everyone's opinion

    Hey OP,
I went out with a guy for over 2 years who really liked it when I wore silky underwear when we were doing the do. I thought it was quite strange at first but just got used to it.
With regards to cuddling up to your things when you're not there, I think thats kinda cute. But maybe I'm just weird.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

Thanks all, thats a relief!!! ha ha ha!!!

    snowdropping eh!!!!

Ye learn something new every day! ha!

Nah I wouldn't worry about it.... better than him liking S&M or something that makes you uncomfortable

I wear my boyfriends T shirt sometimes because he lives away. Do you think that is weird? Probably not. I think its cute

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

    Hi MJOR,

Yes that sure is cute, I also have done that myself, worn one of his shirts when he was away!

But I think husband was being metaphorical when he said "cuddle up" lol

LOCK UP THE WASHING BASKET !!!

Didn't david beckham admit to wearing Posh's undies?

Its is just a harmelss fetish and the youthful exuberance was just that.
The fact he can talk to you about it is a good sign, it means he has no problem being open.

As for sleeping or wearing articles of clothing from the partner when they are away..common enough. rememberance and making those miss you nights a little more bearable

sorry, i am lost what is the fetish?

    is the knicker thing?

if so, its not really a problem unless you dont wear them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

Just to clarify HE DOES NOT WEAR THEM!!!

When I said: 'he admits he has to "cuddled up with" worn clothes of mine and stuff when I am not there....."

I meant cuddled up to clothes Ive worn, as opposed to clean clothes, not that he has worn my clothes...

I know he is not into wearing them becuase I have asked him to for a laugh and he wont!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,914 ✭✭✭✭tbh

oh you really meant cuddled up? Cause I figured you meant "masturbated into".

I deffo. don't think you've anything to worry about now :D

LOL HA HA ah seriously the white cotton panties is a big male fantasy... I'm sure anyway. I actually wouldn't mind even if he was wearing them as long as he didn't stretch them beyond reasonable wear.

And come here be glad he doesn't want you to wear g strings ( i call these smelly ropes)

I think hes fairly normal as long as he doesn't go to tescos with them on his head
    :D

I think that your "worries" could actually be looked at in a positive way. Just means your husband is still highly sexually attracted to you, which for a man (and I'm sure women) is a very significant part of a relationship. Nothing to worry about I reckon.

Some of this is curiousity, not delinquency. "How does women's underwear work?" "How do you undo a bra clasp?" "Padding? Whats the padding for?" type stuff.

ahhh well, we're a mucky bunch. Still nothing to worry about, as long as it's yours and he doesn't feel the compulsion to try it with someone elses. The fact that he's so open with you is great.

Ok ... so, he is sniffin your dirty knickers and having a good ****.

    someone elses.

He isn't sniffing my knickers, I asked him that and he said no, I dont see why he would lie when he has admitted other things, tops with perfume smells he says.

For the love of god just make sure he never reads this thread.

Methinks he'll be none too please and if anything, very self concious that his girlfriend would even have to bring this up on the internet.

How could that possibly be sinister??? I really don't get where you're comin from. Of course it's normal.

Communication is so good she will probably show it to him!!

An no all jokes aside Op you really dont have anything to worry about! but as my mam always says if you go looking be prepared to find! i think by asking him that question in the first place you were setting yourself up for a hit!! I asked an ex boyfriend of mine if he had slept with a prostitude when he was in Amsterdam! To my astonishment he said yes! i was disgusted and to which he responded "well you shouldnt have asked if you werent prepared for the answer" sick to the teeth! we didnt last but what the devil dont know wont hurt him!!!

Good luck and serioulsy you can overcome this - at the end of the day he never did actually steal the underwear! there is a big difference between wanting to do something and actually doing it!! :)

Most people, when they were younger, thought about robbing sweets. This is because they like sweets.

Your husband likes knickers, so he thought about robbing them.

Since he didn't do it. What's the issue?
