Dress shopping in London

Not sure if this should go here or in the travel forum (sorry if I'm in the wrong one!), but I'm heading to London next week on a shopping trip with a few friends. In particular, I'm going looking for a dress for my graduation ball. I want something different i.e. not from the high street and with a budget of about €200ish. Not necessarily a full length gown, but a nice cocktail one is more what I'm looking for. I'd prefer to buy it in person rather than online, but even if anyone knows of any sites with shops based in London that'd be great too. If anyone has any tips or could point me in the right direction - please and thank you :)

Selfridges is similar to Brown Thomas but SOOO much bigger! Look out for 3.1 Philip Lim. If they don't have it in Selfridges it'll definitely by in Harrods. Dover Street Market houses many painfully cool up-market shops like Comme des Garcons.

Yeah was thinking of looking in Selfridges all right... Hoping I might come across something in a boutique some where...if I wander through enough streets!!

Maybe a browse through Notting Hill would be worthwhile. There are loads of little boutiques around the area that certainly sell unique dresses. Check out Dishya or Áime.
