Looking to get a suit pretty soon as I'll need one for some upcoming events later in the year and don't want to leave it till last min.

Don't really know much about suits and this will be my first one. What kind of things should I look out for in them? Also what shops would you recommend and which should be avoided at all costs?

Preferably I'd be looking for a snug, slim fitting suit in a dark grey or else black. Definatly dont want something that looks a size too big.

Massimo Dutti in DUndrum (same owners as Zara) have good fitting suits reduced to about €175 in the sale. If you're skinny then Zara itself can be good. M&S is okay too, remus uomo downstairs in Arnotts may also suit you.

ended up getting a Ted Baker suit in House of Frasier today. They've a good sale on.

Got the suit for 345 down from 595. It seems to be a good quality one also, 100% cotton. cant go wrong ;)

I've a Ted Baker which is really nice. Got it for about 300 I think, lovely. I bought it for graduation/family event.

Ironically the nicest suit I own, and the one everyone comments on cost about a hundred quid. H&M pinstripe, it's perrrrfect. A skinny fit, which I really like, and just generally nice. They sell the jackets/trousers seperately for some bizarre reason. I'd well pick it over the Baker myself!

Have a good look around if you're getting a nice suit. I'd avoid Marks and Sparks tbh, I find they're a bit too, I don't know the word I'm looking for, officey or something?
