    are bikes under the law like the cars, can ya still ride one on a learner/provisional

    U can still ride one on a learner permit... There's restrictions on the power of the bike tho. I think they'll be bringing in compulsory training too, although u'd be mad to get on one without any....

    Only thing which changed for bikes is the lovely tabard you now have to wear, everything else stayed the same.

    And as was always the case, you cannot carry a pillion passenger (even one with a full licence!)

    Yeah once you have a motorcycle learner's permit (not the same as a car learner's permit) wear the yellow tabard, and you bike has the appropriate power/weight ratio.
